AgWest Farm Credit Awards Scholarships to 172 Students

Spokane, WA | June 04, 2026

AgWest Farm Credit, a leading financial institution serving the agricultural industry, is proud to announce the recipients of its annual scholarship program.

This year, 172 students across AgWest's seven-state service territory have been awarded a total of $430,000 in scholarships.

“At AgWest, we believe investing in students is an investment in the long-term strength of our industry and rural communities. We’re proud to support 172 outstanding students this year through $430,000 in scholarships, and we look forward to the impact they will have as the next generation of agricultural leaders,” said Bill Perry, President and CEO.

Together, these scholarships support future agricultural leaders, customer families and employees’ children pursuing college, post-secondary, or vocational education. Since the program’s inception, 1,437 scholarships have been awarded, totaling over $3.2 million. Each student qualified for one of the following scholarship offerings and will receive a $2,500 award to support their educational pursuits.


Championing Agriculture Scholarship

This scholarship encourages future leaders in agriculture and is awarded to current college students enrolled in a university or other post-secondary institution or vocational program within AgWest Farm Credit’s service territory. Recipients intend to obtain a degree or certificate and pursue a career path related to the agriculture sector.

Customer Scholarship

This scholarship is dedicated to enhancing educational pursuits across various fields. Qualified customers and dependents of customers are eligible for these scholarships. Recipients are graduating high school seniors and college students attending any post-secondary institution or vocational program.

Employee Scholarship

This scholarship reflects AgWest's commitment to supporting employees’ families by investing in their education. Awarded to sons or daughters of AgWest employees, recipients are graduating high school seniors and college students attending any post-secondary institution or vocational program.
