This program is in its third year and supports new producers who demonstrate a clear vision and solid business planning but need financial assistance to transform their ideas into reality.

Access to start-up capital remains one of the most significant hurdles for new agricultural operations. AgWest's New Producer Grant was created to help address financial challenges while ensuring all grant applicants were introduced to some basic ag lending requirements and supportive educational information. This program is part of a robust suite of offerings built specifically for young, beginning and small producers. Through their AgVision program, AgWest offers these producers unique financing solutions, educational opportunities, loan benefits and dedicated staff who understand the unique challenges they face.

“One rewarding aspect of this grant program is hearing from applicants that the application process became their catalyst to complete business plans and prepare their first cash flow budget,” said Jesika Harper, VP-AgVision of AgWest. “Our mission is to foster success among all aspiring ag producers.
